Day six: we did... stuff

I realized that I had my days all out of order this morning, so my apologies for changing the last few blog postings around. It was a bit of a whirlwind tour, our Boston trip.
On this day we decided to make a trek out to see the Institute for Contemporary Art, which Michael was told was an architecturally cool building. It was a sunny but really windy day, and we enjoyed the walk out there, past the Boston convention centre (which was bloody mammoth).
The ICA building was cool, but the exhibit they were showcasing - Shepard Fairey - was mind blowing. I can't say enough about this exhibit: brilliant; beautiful; engaging; illumintating; thought provoking; enraging; tongue in cheek; timely. It was one of the best exhibits I've ever seen.
We then visited the Puma building but it wasn't open to the public yet. So we had lunch at a rather authentic restaurant and were served by a waitress with the curling tendrils of a chest tattoo reaching up from under her shirt. Yeah. Michael had clam chowder and it was really good.
We came back, did a little shopping, wandered around the vicinity of our hotel for a bit and tried to soak up the last vestiges of Boston.
