Tomorrow after work we are heading up to the Okanagan for our seventh marathon. Can you believe it? The OIM was the first one we ran three years ago. It's kind of strange, this impending race. Back to the scene of the crime. How much has changed in three years. How much I've learned.
Three years ago I was living the single life in Kerrisdale (and yet still hanging out with Michael every single weekend and staying with him at his mom's for Thanksgiving after the race), working downtown, and spending hours and hours on the phone with my dad.
Now Michael and I are celebrating - roughly - our third or our tenth anniversary (depending on how you look at things), I live in North Van, I have a four day work week in Burnaby, and when my mom or brother call me from Lasqueti my cell phone still says that my dad is calling.
Madness, I tell you.
The OIM route has changed since the last time I ran it.
That's pretty apt.

What is this picture?
It's this cool house we came across when we were in Portland in the summer.
