Septuple Happy Monkey Luck

Today's happy occurrence:
One of my coworkers brought in two types of cookies. Both were absolutely excellent.
Oh, but it doesn't stop there. She brought them in because of the fitness challenge. See, today was the last day of the month long fitness challenge where I work and the finance department has been pulling together to try and be the team with the most points. A team can get 10 bonus points by engaging in a group activity. A "group" means that 50% plus 1 person must participate. There are ten people in finance and six of them were going to show up for boot camp last night but then one cancelled, so we were down 10 points.
Enter our controller. He didn't have workout shorts or pants. In fact, he didn't even have running shoes. Somehow he found some garbage t-shirt to wear, rolled up his khakis and did boot camp in bare feet so our team could get an additional ten points.
This is why F brought in cookies for all.
Feel good exercise story of the year, no?

Today's memory:
My mom giving our German Shepard/Husky cross, Blacky, a "bath" one summer (it might have been after he thought it would be a fun idea to roll around in the dead mud shark that he found at the beach), though it was less of a bath and more us dousing him with a hose and lathering him up with shampoo, rinsing and repeating.
He smelled like dog still, but also a lot like Wella Balsam shampoo.
And he was really fluffy and soft.
He looked so forlorn, his leash tied off so he couldn't run away. His fur damp and matted down, dripping every where, being told not to shake so he wouldn't douse us with dirty dog water.
And then afterwards... he kind of smelled like our hair did.
At least until he found the next dead animal...

The good news:
People will do all kinds of things for charity. I will never complain about the Grind again.

And this completes my week of positive posts. It was definitely an interesting exercise and it showcased that positive thinking is something I need to work at because it doesn't come naturally to me.
Back to being a cranky bitch forthwith!
