Today is Saturday. All day.

Woke up and breakfasted with Michael before he left for his Tour duh Vancouver. Contemplated going to bed, but instead threw on the bikini, grabbed "The Black Swan" and had a coffee in my recliner on my balcony in the sun. Became enraged and then fell asleep. As one does. What the fuck is with this guy? I thought the woman that wrote "Eat, Pray, Love" had an ego the size of monster truck - and then I read Taleb! I will post a review of it later because the beers and hamburger and fries I had for dinner, coupled with the heart palpitations that this book has given me will no doubt send me into cardiac arrest. Oh! We can't forecast the future accurately! I didn't see that one coming! Get it? I didn't see it coming... yeah.
Went for a run and sweated a lot cause it was really hot. Picked up "The Black Swan" again and essentially gave up on it. He is so verbose and condescending - okay, okay, I'll save the diatribe for later. Fell asleep again. It's becoming a habit.
Walked around Lonsdale with Michael and played with his new Garmin watch. It's pretty cool. It uses 17 satellites to track your movement and distance and pace. Yep, we were walking pretty slow. I can't wait to borrow it to measure some of my running routes to compare them against what Gmaps Pedometer says (because I'm a nerd). I set it up so that when he stops running the timer also stops so he will have more accurate time/distance comparisons and then we popped into a washroom (like, separately) and he came out and said that the watch said the signal was lost and wanted to know if he was "tinkling". He's a funny guy, my Michael (sorry for the possessive: because that's wrong and implies ownership).
Went downtown to have dinner with L. Yowsa. I have met some super cool people in my day and she is definitely one of them. My friends always give me something good to ponder and think about and I think they genuinely like me, which is strange. Yes. A good conversation about randomness and collateral damage and traditions and music.
Life is good. Life is random and chaotic and unpredictable. It has interesting surprises and quandries and ramifications.
My hamstrings are tight.

Okay, so bring some other conversation to book club tomorrow, K? Cause the Black Swan discussion, I'm thinking, will be short.

Not tomorrow: Wednesday! Don't mess with my head like that. It's Monday, right? Otherwise I lost a day because I watched too much 30 Rock (which is totally plausible).
The discussion may not be short. I mean, the ideas are great once you get past the fact that he is a self-appointed philosopher with total disregard for anyone that isn't intimately familiar with Poincare.
And maybe we can practice some statistical probability equations and I can revisit the Poisson distribution.
Dude: I got an A+ in Statistics and JUST LOOK WHERE I AM NOW!!
