I put some new shoes on and everybody's smiling (it's so inviting)

Big run on Sunday. Big, big run. It was nineteen or twenty miles, I forget. We basically ran from here to New Orleans and back. Okay, it wasn't quite that far. Normally my group has a bigger turnout but the weather (narsty) and the fact that we were running out of a different location meant it was me and four other guys, one of whom had to drop out because he was having some issues with his calves (not of the bovine persuasion).
The really "fun" part of the run was at about the halfway point when we had to run past the parking lots where are cars were. Apparently a runner in another group gave up then. I don't blame her. We persevered. The gentleman in the yellow vest is my pace leader (8:30 miles) and he's fantastic. He keeps us on pace and he keeps us together and motivated and occasionally starts singing show tunes for no apparent reason and makes bawdy jokes which I enjoy cause I'm a bawdy kind of gal. The guy hamming it up for the camera is G, who is dating another woman in the clinic and Michael and I go out with them socially from time to time. He was slumming that day because he normally runs faster than me, but it was nice to have him join us for a while.
Today I met Ex Work-Husband for lunch and I was knackered (we ran 8.5 miles on Saturday to... um, get ready for the 20 miler on Sunday). Then I went and bought the shoes I'll wear for Boston. I was fully planning on doing yoga today but I had some new tunes, it wasn't raining (or snowing) and my shoes were dying to be worn so I took them out for six miles.
Now I'm really, really, really tired.
I'll post pics of my shoes later.
You're riveted, aren't you.

Riveted... yeah, that's a good way to describe it. I'm exhausted just thinking about you running in those yoga pants, don't those wrap around your legs?

New shoes!!! WooHoo!

Actually, they are running capris and they do stick to me pretty good.
It's weird that you mention it though, cause I've been noticing the pants that the other women wear and they are more streamlined than mine. And are tighter. Sigh.
