Oh god I'm bad

I need a haircut. I have Mondays off (yes, I know I'm a bitch) but hairdressers are typically closed on Mondays so my hair continues its descent into the shagadelic.
So, um, I haven't actually run it yet, but I want this and this, though of course this is the penultimate (the jackets are sweet this year!!).
I was talking to Michael and he was saying that some people "lollygag" the Boston to take in the sights and sounds (basically treating it as a reallllly long training run) and then they come home and run the Vancouver Marathon two weeks later. Huh. Guess what I'm mulling over. I said that I was going to lollygag it and NOT run Vancouver. I don't know. I guess I'll figure it out when I'm out there. Getting kind of excited.
Afterwards? I'm going drink so much beer. And I'm going to wear my Boston medal, because I firmly believe that if you leave on your race bib or your marathon or half marathon medal when you go out for lunch or dinner, they'll feed you more because they think you're cool/insane/hungry.

I like the "Boston Lifer Tee" best. The others are cool but I'm a middle of the road person, I suppose. I think you should get them all. Why the hell not?

Grow your hair long and be free.

This reminds me, I meant to ask you about chafing, surely the bane of the distance runner....

How'd you stop it then? Or do you just run through the pain?

Maybe you just build up huge callouses on your inner thighs?

Yeah go for it get all three, nice jacket.

It's easy for a guy to say 'grow the hair long' they don't have to deal with it. There's always that awkward stage between shaggy and in you eyes, down your neck and sticking out with a mind all it's own and being able to pull it back into a ponytail. And then what? Ponytail, pigtails back to 3rd grade? Or up in a bun like a school marm? Not all of us can tolerate that "come hither hair" 24 hours a day. Surly there's an all night hairdresser somewhere.

lol callouses... runners don't have inner thighs.

Oh hells yeah I'm getting all three!
Pseudonym: chaffins SUCKS. My waterbelt chafes me and I've had some nice scabs because of it. Bodyglide is where it's at. Rub it everywhere. Inner thighs, feet, you get the idea.

Bodyglide? Is that safe to search for from work?

Is that like covering yourself in lard or something?

The g/f was suggesting lycra pants, but it's hardly a flattering look...

I dunno, maybe Bodyglide would be a risque search. I don't know what it is. It looks like deodorant but it's really slick and it works like a hot damn.
As for lycra pants... yeah. Still kind of on the fence about men wearing them. I run with some hot guys and sometimes you just... uh, look.
But this is likely more of a problem with me, and not with you.
