But first! Here's a list of things I did today. I am compiling this list because my friend C chaps my ass. He was beside himself when I was unemployed and I'm pretty sure he won't be happy until I have two jobs and work seven days a week. So, here is what I did on my "day off":
- ran 7.5k
- did some recycling
- read a couple of interesting VF articles
- went grocery shopping
- went to Canadian Tire and bought some windshield wipers (more complex than one would think, and no, I'm not kidding)
- ate lunch
- made four bean salad for tomorrow's pot luck
- cleaned my apartment (like, quite vigorously)
- reconciled my bank accounts
- fucked around on Facebook and MSN messenger
- watched "Talladega Nights" and ate sushi and regaled you with fantastic stories
So, all in all, I think that's a pretty full day. Yeah. Get off my ass.
Today's run was supposed to be 3 miles and pretty easy, but I went further and faster because Heartbreak Hill is scaring me and I want to grind it underneath my heels when I get there in April. Apparently it's twice as long as Keith hill, and we all know how much I love that sonofabitch.
In other news, getting into the swing of things on the work front is proving difficult. Having had a taste of unemployment I must admit this whole "working for a living" thing is a bit of a pain in the ass.
Sort of like what I had after I did some of those one legged squats the other day.

Let me get this right - you have a chapped ass? There are creams for that kind of thing you know ;-)
The hill thing - does Heartbreak Hill come before or after Keith Hill? Please reply before I go to bed cos otherwise I won't sleep. Your answer could shape the rest of my life :-P
Keith
The out-takes of the movie are better than the movie. Those kids so funny.
Your socks are on their way! I'm thinking you'll get them this weekend.
Uh oh. Hope you slept okay last night, OE.
So Keith is the hill I run quite often. It's about a mile long and it's near the clinic so we end a lot of our long runs that way and it's painful.
Heartbreak Hill is the one in Boston. I think it comes at mile 20 or something (when you're starting to hit the wall) and I've been told it's twice as long as Keith and its looming prospect is scaring me.
Has this shaped your life in any way? Or influenced what you might have for dinner?
Hey Jomamma! Yeah, the out takes were awesome, when they were talking about packs of wild dogs taking over cities... I was laughing so hard I was crying.
Looking forward to the socks!! I will post photos when I get them for all to admire.
I love that wild dogs part too, but that little boy just cracked me up... did you see how they had to give him food to fill his mouth so he wouldn't read other people's lines? He was so cute. Reminded me of our neighbor when we were growing up... my dad referred to her as the spider monkey. Put some windmill arms on that kid and he'd look just like Janice at that age.
