I didn't sleep too well last night. Not sure what the deal with this whole non-sleeping thing is. I don't like getting up at 7am. Oddly, this won't be too much of an issue on a go forward because I got laid off today.
Initially I was bummed out cause all my friends are going to be at work so I'll have no one to play with, but my good friend Po was laid off today too. As was the Robot Liberator. Also, L's been without a job for a while now, so I think I'll be okay.
I wish I had known this earlier, cause then I wouldn't have spent three hours on my birthday cleaning my apartment because I'm going to have a lot of time to clean my apartment in the future.
What else, what else. Oh, looks like they wanted to do the layoffs yesterday but I called in sick, so I got an extra day's pay for me and the other two that bit the dust today.
Got lots of hugs.
Bought the obligatory bottle of whiskey.
It's go time.

That sucks! They laid you off... just when you had a birthday? What kind of wankers are they... What did they think Po would tell you and then you'd not come back for two weeks? Karma... it'll get them. They were waiting till Monday? What did they think you'd bring back the Saturday Night Special if they waited till Friday? Bastards... Ass Holes.... I'm glad you don't work there anymore, you're too good to work there. They don't deserve an employee like you, fackers... I'll have you know I don't talk like this. I'm enraged. I wish I was drunk I'd come up there and kick some ass.

Ha. No, they did give me a severance package so it's not like I'm destitute.
Times are tough and my (ex) company suffered along with many others. I'm not bitter.
That comes with time, I understand...
It's still a shame though. You really liked working there.

I did really like working there, mostly due to the employees. My coworkers were great. I hope they didn't like me just cause I did the payroll. :D
And yes Jolea, I am taking a nice liking to the whiskey tonight! Good thing I don't have to get up at 7am!
