Caught Portage and Main rather randomly at Shipbuilders' Square today: excellent. I went home and bought the album. Great perfomance, super talented group: check 'em out.

That's a little more like Bluegrass, they would probably have some followers here.
Yeah, they're kind of bluegrass, folky, country rock. Again: indie scene, but maybe they'll be the next Blue Rodeo...
Never heard of them either. I guess the only Canadian singers I can think of at the moment are k.d.lang (love her) and who's that guy who sings about the trucks getting stuck in the mud... oh well, I guess I can't think of him either.
