J'aime Espace Musique. En route home from a wonderful meal with my aunt, Nana and Ed at my mom's (and you can even back it up further and say that I was en route home from three nights of house sitting and dinner out with another couple on Friday night and from this afternoon's lovely 3.5 miler in the sun and then the brilliant coffee with the always wry and like minded L in Kerrisdale) I was listening to 90.9 in the car and, though I love Groove Salad on SomaFM, nothing is as good as the electronica on Espace Musique. They played some music and then the announcer said what it was (all en francais, naturellement) and it was called "Holy Fuck" and they announced it twice. And I was on 4th Avenue and I wanted to scream "I LOVE CBC!" at the top of my lungs but I didn't. And it was the coolest drive home listening to this downtempo dubstep music as I slalomed down Georgia and vroomed over the Lionsgate Bridge, taking in the shimmering lights on the hills, in the water, the darkly forested mountains.20 miles tomorrow. Yeahhhhhh. That's far. Afterwards we are going to Whistler for the night because it's Michael's birthday on Monday and he's taken the Monday and Tuesday off. I hope the weather is good.
