I will take better pics tomorrow. Promise.

The heat is sapping our will to live. Please send cold beer and Gewurztraminer.
Michael said "Did we see any runners today?". No. We did not see any runners during the hour and eight minute run we did in the heat of the day today.
I thought I might die.
I went through both bottles of water. I walked. The wind, at one point, felt like it was coming from the bowels of hell itself.
We ran past some vineyards and one of them, blessedly, had some sprinklers on and I ran through them all until I was fairly soaking wet.
We did not see any runners today because it was at least 35 degrees when we did our run and everyone with half a brain did their run at 8am or 9pm today.
Went shopping today: mostly because it was air conditioned. Found some cool racing flats at Winners (yeah seriously: Adidas racing flats!??) but they were half a size too small. Fck!
Dinner with the family again tonight.
Went for a walk along the lake afterwards. They had a small fair there with some rides and screaming people and lots of people filling all the patios and we walked to the end of the pier and couldn't help but notice all the spiders working in the lake breeze. Catching, racing, wrapping, spinning, eating. It was a bit eerie.

35 degrees... what is that in dog years? I mean Fahrenheit, like 95? So now you know how we feel from the middle of May until mid Sept. We're supposed to hit 99 today with a heat index of 105. Could get up to 104 on Sunday.
