Like, I get on the #1 and yeah, maybe I was running four minutes late, but I was almost 15 minutes late to work. Oh, the massive accident and/or road construction that I was anticipating? Non existent. It took me 40 minutes to drive TEN MILES. This meant that I had to skip my first coffee break. I don't mind playing by the rules, but when the rules themselves are... anyways. Let's just leave that one for now.
Work was work. Came home and had an abysmal tempo run. Chatted with Big D who was like "I suppose you haven't been running since you're sick" and I laughed and said "No, I'm actually brain damaged and don't have any common sense, so of course I've been running". Then I was short with my mom who suggested that maybe I not go into work tomorrow.
And then it was like all the bacteria that I had been going back and forth with over the past few days decided to gang up and attack me. Wielded the flashlight in the bathroom. Peered down the cavernous maw of my gaping mouth and... little white spots on my giant, enlarged, angry red tonsils.
Come on.
Made it to the clinic fifteen minutes before it closed. Got a prescription. Returned home. The pharmacist at London Drugs practically put on a puppet show to let me know I need to take all the medication. Then they even put a sticker on the bottle of pills that says "Finish this, fucktard".
If I have pus on my tonsils tomorrow. If I have a weird rash on my legs, arms, stomach or chest.
Well.
I guess I will have to go for another run.

Did you go to the doctor? Maybe you have Strep Throat. It makes pus on your tonsils and a rash if not treated properly, that's a sign of Scarlet Fever. You know what Scarlet Fever does? It damages your heart if left untreated. I don't like taking all the meds either and I know my hubby is calling me things like Fucktard, but take the damn meds!
LOL. That's what my mom was worried about too. Went to the doctor's, got new drugs. I still feel like shit. They took a swab so I will know if it's strep shortly.
I guess I get to watch tv and eat soup tomorrow afterall...
And get some popcycles... and pudding, lots of pudding. The kids had what the Dr. had told us was Tonsillitis, 24 hours later they had a rash all over their chest and belly, Jolea had such a high fever the skin was peeling off her hands. I asked a friend who was an ER nurse and she said to take them back to the DR make him run a test for strep... sure enough they had Strep and it had gone to Scarlet Fever. Bad stuff and it goes around in waves. Did you know you can get it from a dog too? They can be carriers.
I WISH I had a dog.
They took a swab when I was in Penticton at the end of last month and it was negative for strep. They took another one last night, so we'll see. I think it's tonsillitis. I think I should just loop some fishing wire around the little (big) fuckers and pop them off.
I am going to go and get popsicles soon. I can relive my childhood summers while on the umpteenth episode of Boston Legal...
Oh yeah Boston Legal will cure anything. I had a friend who had so many sore throats that her tonsils finally rotted out. That's got to be gross.
I am going to choose to believe that you aren't serious. That's just narsty.
I am serious, my neighbor's dog got strep from a little boy she was baby sitting. I guess the dog licked him in the face. When she took the dog to the vet b/c he was foaming at the mouth, she was told the dog had strep and about being carriers.
