I am not where this picture is

Busy.
Ran.
Watched "A Serious Man". It was great. I love the Coen brothers. I just learned they also did "The Hudsucker Proxy" which is an absolutely excellent movie.
Two viewings of my pad. Switched my snow tires off. Ran more. Got some sun. Ran again. Saw cool dogs. Ate sushi. Went downtown dressed in ripped jeans and spent an hour in the company of some of the city's wealthy elite. Hey: if you're retired? You don't need to dress like you're going to work anymore. Just a thought.
Had a random conversation with a an elderly gentleman as we slowly meandered up Lonsdale after I got out of my massage appointment. No idea who he is. He just started talking to me and so I listened. He's from the Netherlands. He thinks I should get a motorcycle (but get someone to teach me how to operate it properly). He's been on the North Shore for 40 years. He had his parents out at one point and they derided him for not inviting them sooner because they loved it and they would've moved here, and he told that he didn't want them to move here. He was in the medical corps. He worked at the Gang Ranch in BC. I said I'd never been up that way. He said if he were a couple years younger he'd take me. He says this is God's country. Michael's grandmother says that every time I see her which hasn't been for some time because she's now in a home.
Bumped into a neighbour while grocery shopping.
Had a chat with another neighbour as I made my way home, resplendent with $1 rice crackers.
The other day a guy popped his head into the gym and asked why I was leaving. Did I not like it here?
I love it here.

What a lovely day. Your Mondays are a blessing aren't they?

Wow, you're feeling friendly these days! Nice work. I too think you should get a motorcycle, as should I.

My mondays ARE a blessing.
And I am getting friendly these days.
It only took 33 years...

Well if you need any tips, just let me know.... I've become the official Miss Congeniality at work. You wouldn't believe all the flowers I've gotten this week for Secretary's Day.

Do you guys get these commercials up there? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMwoexR1evo

I love these, this is how I try to live my life. A while back I picked up a filthy baby blanket out of a shopping cart and handed it to the lady in front of me when she was about to forget it. My sister all but shrieked and grabbed at my hand. "It's SO dirty" she whispered. Under my breath I told her "my hands are washable."

Yeah, it's true: good begets more good.
There was a similar ad on tv recently about smiling and the contagious nature of it. Similar kind of vibe.
