Verdict

"Shortbus" is a pointless exercise in self-indulgence and whining with touches of new-age cliches which I'm not sure if the audience is supposed to find amusing or sardonic. The shock value was not found in the graphic sex or the various manipulations of the concept of a "relationship", but rather in how much the characters were totally self-absorbed, morose and incapable of either getting that prescription for Lithium filled or finding the requisite tools that would enable them to have healthy relationships.

And orgasms.
