Highway #1

I was driving to work today and traffic on the #1 came to a complete stop. This was because a $40,000 car hit a $50,000 car at a very low speed and, though they were in the fast lane, the drivers thought the best course of action would be to put their cars in park in rush hour traffic on a major highway.
Then The Swell Season’s “Low Rising” came on CBC and I was reminded that I need to buy this album. I love this song. I think this is a song that you make love to. Prescient, languid, slow, fluid, smooth, sensual, building, sated, sad, tenuous, emotional.
I thought, when was the last time I made love? Think about it. When was the last time you could use that term to describe that act of intimacy?
