My knees hurt

Best weekend ever. Saw friends, had dinner with the family, dispensed whipping cream directly into my mouth, did the Grouse Grind (fack I am lacking when it comes to trails), drank and ate too much and read passages from Shock Doctrine to Michael, started watching "Boston Legal" at my mom and brother and Po's insistence, and saw "Smoking Guy" from the X-Files. At the top of the Grind, no less. I don't think he smokes in real life.
Today was great except for when I woke up at 7am, panicking that I'm not ready or able to run the Vegas marathon in six weeks. What's with that? Picked out a totally arduous 12 mile route, threw on the shoes and the tunes and enjoyed a beautiful, blustery, sunny, leafy, crisp day. Running down Mosquito Creek as the sun filtered in through the waving trees with their orange and yellow and red leaves and hearing the rushing, churning of the water as it raced down from the mountains on my left, and seeing a happy, wagging dog with no less than three sticks in his mouth as he trundled up the trail I felt good. Appreciative. Content. Happy. Zen.

Nice.

I think I'll look for Boston Legal on DVD, I could watch it over and over.
