The reminder

I used to live on Vine Street.
It's so weird. Life is weird.
I remember living there, and I was there for four or five years, but it's like another life.
Time passes so fast.
People change so much.
I feel nostalgic when I go back to Kerrisdale. I always park near the old apartment and walk the neighbourhood to see what has changed and what has stayed the same.
We all change and we all stay the same.
I've learned a lot over the past few years. Enough, at least, to help me understand that I don't know I'm capable of or what the future holds.
Also? I found "Quantum of Solace" totally confusing, but I really enjoyed the grilled bell pepper Stonewheat crackers.

Just watched Quantum about two hours ago. WTF? I like it when a movie makes me think but not when it makes me think that I'm losing my mind. I forgot who did what, where they were, and why things were happening.

Poof, you're no longer a pile of shit!

LOL. I had a proverbial question mark over my head for the duration of the movie. Apparently it helps if you saw the one before it (which I didn't). Still. WTF??
Gad.
For escapism, I found it inordinately complex and would prefer to work through statistical equations any day.
Woody Allen's "Cassandra's Dream", on the other hand, was excellent!
I'm such a fcking nerd.

I never could figure out where the title came from, is that like a period of time, "that movie lasted two quantums of my solace." I must have gone to pee when that was explained. I'll have to watch it again.

I went back to our old hood last weekend when I was at my sister's, the house next door to ours was completely gone... burned to the ground, foundation even gone... just grass now. I always had a feeling those people were running a meth lab over there. Maybe their Quantum of Solace blew up in their face.

...and the Bond movies started going horribly wrong "From Russia with love" onwards.

They just look like the portfolio piece of a stunt crew these days.
