And then? I got my period! Relatively on time. But more importantly: it will be done by the time I run Boston. Woo-hoo! I hate my period something fierce.
Picked up my mom and we drove out to my brother and Andrea's in Abbotsford. After innumerable years (five? I've lost count) we finally met her parents and their other daughter, son in law and granddaughter. And dog. They were all very nice. I think their granddaughter stole the show. She was soooo cute (and I'm pretty sure everyone here knows how I feel about kids).

The dinner was delectable. So good. Ham in the slow cooker. Turkey. Potatoes and yams and salad and veggies and dessert and cookies. Ahhhhh.... I love food. And it shows. Damnit.
Then we got presents for no reason!! Can you believe it? We got cool magnets and I got a bookmark with the letter "T" on it from the Book of Kells, a Celtic ring, and a kick ass t-shirt. Like, super kick ass (I'll be a Canadian wearing a shirt from Ireland supporting an American).
See. I only wear kick ass tees. I have my CBC, my SomaFM, and my MEC t-shirts. And that's it. I'm so super fussy about the t-shirts I wear. They have to a) fit me (which most don't) and b) they have to be something that I'm willing to advertise for free. So I was so super happy when Jay

Anyways. I'm not sure where the day went. And I ate toooooooooo much. But it was fun and I'm really glad Jay and Andrea had such a great trip and am very pleased that we all got to meet her side of the family after all this time.
Her niece was priceless: "Ellie. Do you want a spanking?"
Ellie. Pause. "Yeah."
"Ellie, do you want Auntie to give you a spanking?"
Ellie. "Yeah".
"Ellie, do you want Jay to give you a spanking?"
"Yeah."
"Do you want T- to give you a spanking?"
Pause. "No."

Ditto on the T-shirts... who do they pattern them after? Sponge Bob? That's a COOL T-shirt, Jolea may be coveting that one, and it's an awesome color.
LOL the kid... do her eyes glow?
