The birds

Today I woke up to the sound of rain lashing against the windows in Michael's bedroom. I was a bit dismayed because I have a bit of a cold and I was supposed to meet some people downtown and I wasn't looking forward to traipsing around in the wet (to be read: I was gonna bail on everyone). By the time I got up it was a brilliant and sunshiny day. Horse. Shoe.
Then I went downtown and met Newlywed Guy for lunch. He's so nice. We talked of crown mouldings and gay politicians. After which I met my mom and we went for a long walk along the downtown waterfront and along the beach and along Robson. I'm so not a shopper. In the park we came across this family that was feeding some of the birds and it was so funny: all these ducks and geese and seagulls and pigeons and swans were following them as they went because they had food. The Canadian geese were kind of pissed cause I think we were in their way. Then, a few steps later, we came upon these gamboling raccoons and one of them was missing a tail! It was so sad. I mean, I guess it's a good story cause he/she must've gotten away, but it was sad to see a raccoon without a tail.
Met up with Work Ex Husband for the world's fastest coffee because, well, I guess cause he has to work on Mondays and can't exactly spend the afternoon faffing around like what I do.
I like to faff.
I'm not gonna lie.

I've never clicked on your other links before but tonight I did.
Your other blogs are funny, too.
By the way, I am releasing my thoughts at ihaveabilge.blogspot.com
It's helping.
