Okay. Some stuff is going on now.

It's still foggy here. What the hell is with this fog? It's a wee bit eerie and it's been around for quite some time.
Met up with an old friend of mine from my high school days for a coffee. It was great to see her, it'd been a few months and we had a lot of catching up to do.
I met her in Surrey. I facking hate Surrey. I know I'm not supposed to be negative, but I just can't let this ride so if you're looking for some uplifting, airy fairy posting? Opt out now.
Alright. To get to Surrey (if, unfortunately, you have to go there) I have to take the #1 Highway. Fuck that noise. I left North Van at like 2:15pm and was already encountering traffic jams. Goddamnit. I hate driving and cars and freeways and highways and the Port Mann Bridge. Or is it the Patullo. Whatever it is, I hate it.
It's stop and go down 152nd and the only reason I didn't lose my mind is because I very rarely drive, so the simple act of driving was semi-enjoyable, plus I was listening to the new Dido CD and it's pretty mellow.
Pulled into the strip mall place where I was to meet my friend for coffee, and another person for dinner later and I encountered driving and parking habits like I'd never seen before. Yes. Welcome to Surrey. Land of big trucks and SUVs and people that don't know how to drive or park. Some of the shit that I encountered while trying to find a Starbucks (which didn't exist in this particular strip mall and yes I know, I should patronize independent cafes but I don't all the time because a) I got a $30 gift card for Starbucks for Christmas and b) I think they treat their employees pretty well benefits wise, and also engage in fair trade practices) was astounding. I really wanted to take photos, but I thought I might get punched in the face. It was more fun than TEEVEE.
Okay. Gonna end this post and try and summarize the next one for ya.

Yeah, what is it with drivers? That license gives you the right to act like an idiot and park like an asshole? I don't enjoy city driving... I do enjoy driving in the country.

If I didn't have my job at the school I'd probably work at Starbucks.

Whats with the pic? Like the guys spent money on that ugly-as-shit spoiler or whatever they are but couldn't be bothered with hubcaps. Doesn't deserve to have a car. Give it to me.

I'm with ya, Big D. I had to take a photo of it. It was so Surrey. I hate those spoilers, they look like shit.
Next time we see a car like that when we're out, let's just commandeer it. :P
