When you're unemployed it's hard to remember what day it is (but I understand Christmas is coming soon)

Wow. Fun things happen when I leave the apartment. Who knew? I should try it more often.
Met the Robot Liberator at Metrotown to watch "Seven Pounds" today. He rubbed the bridge of his nose but wasn't crying. I was crying but I didn't rub the bridge of my nose. Then I learned about Bluetooth technology while waiting for a doughnut. Then we had one of those awesome, random conversations where you get to learn a lot about someone and challenge them a bit and concede when they make some really good points of their own. We spoke of bacon.
Then I caught the Skytrain back downtown (I will interject here that, amazingly, I did not get lost: I sometimes astound myself). There was a moment of unexpected peace, beauty and tranquility as the Skytrain glided so smoothly and quietly over the rails, cresting a bend and giving me a view of all the lights of downtown Vancouver and I thought to myself "life is beautiful: I am so lucky".
Had an impromptu meet up with Typewriter. It was really, really enjoyable. We had a couple of glasses of wine and some calamari and some more great conversation and I left feeling less alone and less burdened and really glad that we were able to randomly hook up on this particular freezing Tuesday.
Now I have a million things to do before I leave to go to my brother's for Christmas Eve tomorrow. Christmas Day will be at my grandmother's at UBC. Then I crash at my mom's and get up early and fly to Penticton on Boxing Day.
What I'm trying to say is that this'll likely be the last blog until the New Year.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, everyone! I hope you all have a happy holiday season and prosperous and pleasurable 2009.

Merry Christmas girl, don't hurt anyone on Boxing Day (I like to imagine everyone knocking each other's light out on that day... bouncing around in gigantic boxer shorts and funky boots. Tee Hee) sounds like a fun road trip.
