The show you can scream along with

While eating a delectable pancake breakfast that Michael made for me this morning (8am clinic? what clinic?) we watched "The McLaughlin Group" on KCTS (http://www.mclaughlin.com/index.htm). This is one of my all time favourite shows. This McLaughlin guy has four guests on his show, invariably Pat Buchanan and Eleanor Clift and two others, and they scream at each other over very interesting topics for like half an hour. I swear to god it's just like having dinner with my family. Michael was shell-shocked after having dinner with my family the first time. Why talk when you can yell, and whoever yells loudest is the most right.
Anyways, today's topic was: should the government bail out the auto industry, and it was fantastic. I could just sense it was going to be epic and it was. I love it. I hate watching Canadian or American politicians debate stuff on t.v. with their long winded way of saying absolutely nothing. These people throw down and they are slightly sarcastic and a little inflammatory and they have strong opinions and they voice them. It is so exhilarating to watch. I wish they could have come over to dinner at our place. The potential for destroyed larynxes would have been amazing.
